Gershom Parr
Gershom Parr, 87 years old, who resided with his son, Grover
Parr, at Delaware, Warren County, died there yesterday.
Mr. Parr a well known retired farmer spent most of his life
in Blairstown Township. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Josephine
Vandergrift Parr, whom he married May 23, 1880, and ten of
thirteen children born to the couple. The children are: Mrs.
Mamie Gardner; Cloyd L. Parr, of Port Colden; Arthur S. Parr,
of Flatbrookville; Gorver C. Parr, of Delaware; Mr. Thurman
Parr, Oxford; Amos B. Parr of Sioux City, Iowa; William P.
of Andover, George P. and Harry C. of Phillipsburg; Leon S.
of Easton. He also leaves two brothers, Marshall and William
Parr in Colorado; 48 grandchldren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Parr was a member of the Belvidere Methodist Church, and
a charter member of the Belividere Camp of the P.O.S.of A. |
