Grover C. Parr, 98, of 16 Greenwich St., Belvidere, died Saturday
at the Barn Hill Convalescent Center, Newton, N.J.
He was a retired farmer.
Born Oct. 20, 1884, in Blairstown, he was a on of the late
Gershum and Josephine Van Der Griff Parr. He lived in the Blairstown
area most of life.
He was a member of the Faith Mennonite Church, Oxford.
His wife, the former Carrie Green, preceded him in death.
Surviving are three sons, Milton and Roy, both of Blaristown,
and Fred of Belvidere; two daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Read of
Columbia and Mrs. Marion Miller of Eatontown, N.J.; a brother,
Harry of Easton; 11 grandchildren and two great-greatgrandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Raymond H. Konkle
funeral Home, Blairstown. Interment will be in Hope Moravian
Cemetery, Hope, N.J. |
