Mrs. Henrietta E. Abel
Mrs. Henrietta E. Abel, 89 years old widow of Tighman Abel, a well known resident of Nazareth, died at 1:10 this morning at her home, 133 South Whitfield Street, that borough, of complications due to old age. After an illness of five weeks.

Mrs. Able was a daughter of the late John and Mary Dech Frankenfield. She was a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Nazareth, also a member of Nazareth Temple. No. 10 Ladies of the Golden Eagle; Auxiliary of Captain Owen Rice Camp. No 20. Sons of Union Veterans of civil War, Nazareth; Columbia Council. No. 11 Daughters of Liberty Easton; Auxiliary of Harold V. Knecht Post, American legion and War Mothers, of Nazareth.

Her husband, Tilghman Abel, served in the Union Army in the Civil War. He enlisted in August, 1864 and was discharge August 3, 1865. He died on Dec 2, 1902 and four sons, Eugene, Charles, John and Archie Abel, also preceded her in death.
She is survived by the following children; Frank Abel, Nazareth; Clayton Able, of Torrington, Conn.; Asher Able, Allentown; Elmer Able and Mrs. Jennie Hay, at home; and Mrs. Charles H. Hartzell, of Bath; also by one sister, Mrs. Isabel Ernst, of Bethlehem R. D. 2 and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral Tuesday at 1 P.m. at her late home with services in charge of the Rev. H. C. Snyder. Interment in St. John’s Union Cemetery.
