John J. Abel
John J. Abel, 54, died suddenly Friday morning of a heart condition in the garage in the rear of his home, where he was working at East Lawn, near Nazareth. He was found by his son John Jr., shortly after he died.
He was born May 12, 1882 in Nazareth.
He was the son of the late Tilghman Abel and his wife Henrietta of Nazareth. He was a painter by trade.
Deceased was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Nazareth; the P.O.S of A., and the Sons of Veterans, of Nazareth.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Eckert Able, and three sons, Charles, and John, Jr., at home, William, of Belfast, and by one daughter, Ruth, at home, also by these brothers; Eugene, Frank, Archibald, Asher, Elmer, all of Nazareth; and these sisters; Mrs. Charles Hartzell, Bath, Mrs. Jennie Hay, Atlantic City, N.J.; Mrs. Carrie Sandt, Stockertown, and by one grandchild. |
