Mrs. Charles Hartzell
Mrs. Irene G. Hartzell, 80, of 226 Belvidere St., Nazareth, died yesterday in the Easton Convalescent Home. Wilson, where she was admitted Aug. 25.
Born in Nazareth, she was a daughter of the late Tilghman and Henrietta Frankenfield Abel. She lived in Nazareth most of her life.
Her husband, Charles, died in 1941.
Mrs. Hartzell was employed by the Nazareth Wasit Mill Inc. for 41 years.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church Nazareth.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Nazareth; past president of the auxiliary of the Sons of Veterans of the Civil war; a member of the daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War and of the Betsy Ross club, all of Bethlehem.
Surviving are nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Schmidt Mortuary, Nazareth. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Nazareth. |
