Frank D. Abel, 74, Nazareth Decorator
Frank D. Abel, 74, who operated a paper hanging and painting business in Nazareth for 55 years, died Saturday afternoon while at work in Nazareth.
Mr. Abel’s home was at 158 Whitfield street, Nazareth. He was born in the borough on July 1, 1875, a son of the late Tilghman and Henrietta Abel. He was a member of Nazareth Moravian, the P.O. S. of A., and the Sons of Union veterans, of Nazareth.
Surviving are his wife, Hattie Roth Abel; a brother, Asher, of Allentown and three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Hay, of Allentown; Mrs. Carrie Sandt, of Stockertown, and Mrs. Irene Hartzell, of Nazareth.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Abel residence. The Rev. Robert I. Giering, pastor of Nazareth Moravian Church, will officiate. Interment will be in the family plot of Greenwood cemetery, Nazareth. |
