Jacob C. Wilhelm, 72, Ex-Fireman On C.R.R.
Jacob C. Wilhelm, 72, retired locaomative fireman on the Central
Railroad of New Jersey, died about 7:15 o'clock last night
at his home, 168 Summit avenue, Phillipsburg.
Mr. Wilhelm was employed by the Central Railroad for about
45 years before he retired. His health had been failing for
the last year, although his death was unexpected.
Born in Raubsville, he was a son of the late Dr. Eugene and
Regetta Purdy Wilehelm. He lived in Phillipsburg for many years.
He was a member of Westminister Presbyterian Church, Phillipsburg,
and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen.
Surviving are his wife, the former Minnie Klotz; four children,
Chester E., of Red Bank, N.J., and Mrs. Ethel Jacoby, and Nelson
and Chester, all of Phillispburg; four sisters Mrs. Roy Klotz,
of Bethlehem; Mrs. Charles Kemper and Miss Maude Wilhelm, both
of Georgetown, Del., and miss Margaret Wilhelm, of Easton;'
a brother, Howard, at home, and four grandchildren. |
