Chester E. Wihelm, former teacher and principal in N.J.
Chester E. Wilhelm, 79, a former New Jersey teacher and principal,
died Wednesday in his home on Pernell Road, Star Route, Brodheadsville.
Before retiring as principal of Hawthorne, N.J., School in
1968, he was a teacher in Red Bank, N.J..; Huntington, N.Y.;
and Hawthorne.
Born in Raubsville, he was a son of the late Jacob C. and
Minnie Klotz Wilhelm.
A 1928 graduate of Lafayette College, he received his doctorate
from Rutgers University.
Mr. Wilhelm was a ember of Zion United Lutheran Church, Brodheadsville;
Hawthorne Rotary Club; Phi Delta Kappa, and a 50-year member
of Geroge B. Moxley Lodge, F&AM.
His wife, the former Edwa Herndon, preceded him in death.
Survivng are two daughters, a son, two brothers, Nelosn
W. of Phillipsburg, and John R. of Florida; a siter, Ethel
Jacoby, Phillipsburg, and six grandchldren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the church. Interment
will be in Raubsville Cemetery. The Kresge Funeral Home, Broadheadsville,
is in charge of arrangments. |
