Charles R. "Charlie" Troxell Sr., 74, of Stockertown died Sunday in Easton Hospital. He was the husband of Helen "Dolly" (Sapone) Troxell. There were married 44 years.
Before retiring in 1984, he was a clothing seller for many years at the London Shop and the former May's, both of Easton.
Born in Wilson, he was a son of the late Fred and Minnie (Campbell) Troxell.
He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II.
Survivors: Wife; daughters, Sharon, wife of Kenneth Metzgar of Bethlehem Township, and Joy, wife of Joseph Hughes of Palmer Township; son, Charles R. Jr. of Cherry Hill, N.J.; brothers, Raymond Sr. in Florida, Fred Jr. of Phillipsburg, Floyd of Banning, Calif., Earl of Easton and George of Saylorsburg; sisters, Blanche Strunk of Nazareth, Bessie, wife of Merlin Steed in Maryland, Gladys, wife of William Sparrow of Shillington, Berks County, Janet, wife of William Stone of Easton, Minnie Jones of Bethlehem Township and Jean, wife of John Beam of Bath; eight grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Reichel Funeral Home, 220 Washington Park, Nazareth. Call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. |
