John S. Kugler
John S. Kugler, the oldest resident of Raubsville, Williams
Township, died at his home in that place at 1 o'clock yesterday
afternoon, after a long illness. He was 79 years old and was
a son of the late John Kugler, who died at the age of 94.
John S. Kugler was twice married. His first wife was a daughter
of John Stocker, of Williams Township. She died in 1879. His
second wife, who was a daughter of Jacob Kleinhans, also of
Williams Township, died in 1895.
Five children survive the deceased man. They are William Kugler
and Mrs. George King of Easton; Frank Kugler and Mrs. Benjamin
Raub of Phillipsburg, and Mrs. John Robbins, of Raubsville.
The latter was the child of his second wife.
Mr. Kugler was an elder of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, of
Raubsville, and was a member of Peace and Plenty Lodge, No.
456, I.O.O.F, of Riegelsville.
George H. Parker of Bloomsbury, New Jersey married Miss Annie
E. Kugler of Easton, April 25, 1888 in Easton. |
