Mrs. Bertha M. Holdsworth, 85, of 1304 Blair St., Palmer Township, died Monday in Easton Hospital. She was the widow of Clarence N. Holdsworth.
She was a clerk at the former Woolworth's department store, Easton, and a cook at Bar Don Lanes, Palmer Township, before retiring. Before that, she was a spinner at the former Chipman Knitting Mill, West Easton.
Born in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Leander and Gertrude (Grube) Stem.
She was a member of Bethel Memorial Baptist Church, Palmer Township.
Survivors: Sons, Russell S. Round of Pittsburgh and Raymond E. Round of Wind Gap; sisters, Mrs. Mabel Hummel and Mrs. Ethel Golden, both of Wilson; stepdaughter Mrs. Helen Yankoos of Palmer Township; five grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, Ashton Funeral Home, 14th and Northampton streets, Easton. Call 7-8 p.m. today. |
