Mrs. Harry Carpenter
Mrs. Elizabeth V. Carpenter, 74, of 401 New Brusnwick Ave.,
Shimer Manor, died yesterday afternoon in Warren Hospital where
she was admitted last Friday.
Her husband, Harry Cerpenter, died in 1955.
Born in Glendon, April 10, 1896, she was a daughter of the
late Leonard and Matilda Sigafoos Knoble. Her mother died last
June 17.
Mrs. Carpenter lived in Shimer Manor 19 years. Before that
she lived in phillipsburg.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Phillipsburg.
Survivors include a son, Donald V., with whom she resided;
two brothers, Thomas, Phillispburg, and William, Morris Park;
two sisters, Mrs. Anna Stamets, Philipsburg, and Mrs. Howard
S. Sigafoos, Hunterton; Six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Lesher, died in 1960.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Rupell Funeral
Home, Phillipsburg. Interment will be in St. James Lutheran
Cemetery.
