Timothy Vogel, 87, Cannery Operator
Timothy (Tim) Vogel, 87, formerly of Seattle, Wash., died at
4:45 a.m. today in Betts Hospital. He resided at the home of
his niece, Mrs. Erma L. Deck, 237 Philadelphia Road, for the
last three months.
Mr. Vogel operated a salmon cannery at Haines, Alaska, before
and during World War I. After the war he moved to Seattle where
he was superintendent of the Long Acres Race Track. He retired
about 1930. Since then he had traveled extensively and spend
his winters in Phoenix, Ariz.
Born in South Easton, on Nov. 7, 1879, he was a son of the
late William and Anna Maria Heaney Vogel.
He was of the Lutheran Faith.
In additon to his niece, he leaves a nephew, Marshall E. Vogel,
who resides in Reading.
The fuernal will be held at the convenience of the family. |
