Former South Sider Dies In Seattle
Word was received here today that Mrs. Amanda Vogel Smith,
82 years old, widow of Chester Smith, formerly of South Side,
died on Aug. 28 at her home in Seattle Wash. She had been ill
for six weeks.
Mrs. Smith lived in South Side about 25 years ago. She was
the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Vogel, and was
a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, South Side.
Surviving are a son, Frank T.Smith, a daughter, Miss Adah
E. Smith, and a granddaughter, Mrs. J. R. Blunt, all of Seattle;
and three brothers, Wilson Vogel, of Philadelphia Road, South
Side; Thomas Vogel, of Soat Lake City, near Seattle and Timothy
Vogel, of Seattle. A sister, Miss Ida Vogel, died three months
ago.
Funeral services were held last Thursday at Forkner Chapel,
Seattle. |
