Claude H. Stone, 93, Was Supervisor at I-R
Claude H. Stone, 93, of 2118 Forest St., Wilson, died yesterday in Easton Hospital.
Born in Stewartsville, on October 22, 1886, he was a son of the late Charles B. and Laura Unangst Stone.
He was a supervisor at Ingersoll-Rand Co., Phillipsburg, retiring in 1958. He started with Ingersoll in 1905 at the Ingersoll-Sergeant Drill Co., Easton, and was later transferred to the Phillipsburg plant.
Upon his retirement, he was honored by the supervisors of the drill manufacturing division for his many years of service.
He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran church, Wilson.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Thomas R. Elliott, Palmer Township, and Mrs. Lester Oris, Edison, N.J.; two sons, Herbert W. and William R., both of Palmer Township; a sister, Miss Alice Stone, Warren Haven, N.J.; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
