Ernest A. Stone, 87, Ex-0Employee of I-R
Ernest A. Stone, 87, of 421 Russell Ave., Huntington, Phillipsburg, died last night Warren Hospital where he was admitted Tuesday.
Mr. Stone was a retired foreman of the drill division of Ingersoll-Rand Co. He was employed by Ingersoll-Rand from 1904 to 1949 when he retired.
Born in Stewartsville, he was a son of the late Charles B. and Laura Unangst Stone.
He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Straw Church.
Survivors include his widow, the former Clara Hawk; two sons, Harold, Lindenwold, N.J. and Walter, Huntington; two daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Hagerty, Stewartsville, and Mrs. Elizabeth Hawk, Phillipsburg; a brother, Claude, Easton, a sister, Miss Alice Stone, Stewartsville; nine grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Brandt Funeral Home, Bloomsbury. Interment will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery.
