John McKee, Former Watchman At I-R Co.
John C "Fatty" McKee, 73, of 134 Lincoln street Easton,
died yesterday afternoon in Bloomsbury, where he had been staying
since his health began to fail several months ago.
Mr. McKee retired in 1951 after working as a watchman at Ingersoll-Rand
Company, Phillipsburg, for 34 years.
An Easton resident for 47 years he was born in Phillipsburg
on March 19, 1880, a son of the late Clarence L. and Sophia
Schuler McKee.
Mr. McKee was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the
Jacksonian Democratic Association, Fleas Club, and the Columbia
Hose Company, all of Easton.
His wife the former Rose L. Osborne, died in 1934.
Surviving are five sons, Roy, of the Lincoln street address;
Clarence L., Earl and Francis, all of Easton and Frank of Phillipsburg;
three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A son, John
W. died in 1928
