Tilghman Kiefer
Tilghman Kiefer, aged 67, a watchman at the Chipman Knitting Mills and a well-know resident of Easton, died at 12:40 Sunday morning at Dr. Bett's Hospital. He was taken to the hospital two weeks ago and was operated on.

Mr. Kiefer resided at 1220 Spruce Street. He was born in Easton and was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kiefer.

His wife survives with two sons, Flaude, living at home and Claude H. Keifer of Paducah, Kentucky. He also leaves the following brothers and sister: William Kiefer, Philadelphia; Luther and Israel Kiefer, South Side; Edward Kiefer, Mrs. Minerva Bassett and Mrs. Thomas Fishler, Easton; Elmer Kiefer, Stroudsburg; Mrs. William Bright, Bethlehem and Mrs. Howard Walters, Jersey City.

For 23 years Mr. Kiefer was boss packer at the plant of the Baker and Adamson Chemical Company, West Easton, and for four years had been a watchman at the Chipman mills.

Mr. Kiefer had been an active member of Olivet Presbyterian church since 1903. he served as treasurer of the Sunday School and also taught a class. He was a member of Columbia Lodge, No. 139, I.O.O.F, South Side; West End Council, No. 280, Fraternal Patriotic Americans; Camp 542, P.O.S. of A., Wilson Borough, and Judson Kilpatrick Camp, No. 233, Sons of Union Veterans of Civil War. He had a large number of friends in this vicinity who will learn of his death with regret.
