William T. Kester

William T. Kester, 98, of Pen Argyl, formerly of Williams Township,
passed away, Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, in the Phoebe Slate Belt Nursing
and Rehabilitation Center.
Born: June 22, 1904, in Easton, a son of the late Edward F. and
Flossie Brotzman Kester.
Personal: His wife, the former, Lillie L. Schatzle, died on Sept.
8, 2002.
He was a devoted husband, loving father and caring grandfather and
great-grandfather.
He retired from the former Baker Chemical Company in Phillipsburg,
where he had been employed for 35 years.
He enjoyed reading, music and gardening.
Survivors: a son, two daughters,
five grandchildren,
and three great-grandchildren.
A brother, Edward, and three sisters, Verna Frankenfield, Dorothy
Schuler and R. Olive Hagenbuch, all died earlier.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 602
W. Berwick St., Easton. Call from 10 a.m. to time of services Tuesday
in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. John's Union Cemetery.
