Mrs. John D. Bowne
Mrs. Macrina A. Bowne, wife of John D. Bowne, of 127 Railroad
avenue, Washington, died this morning at her home.
Mrs. Bowne was a member of the Washington Methodist Church
and the W.S.C.S. of the Church. She was a past matron of the
Washington Chapter No. 136, Order of Eastern Star; past chief
of Starlight Temple, Pythain Sisters; past noble grand of Warren
Rebekah Lodge; past councilor of Sons and Daughters of Liberty,
all of Washinton, and a past high priestess of the White Shrine,
Star of the East, Belvidere.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs.
Helen Ross, at home, and Mrs. Joseph Eger, of Washington, and
a grandson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.. from
the residence. The Rev. Reece R. Hill will officiate, and interment
will be in Belvidere cemetery.
