Mae A. Uhler

Mae A. Uhler, 90, died Thursday in the Slate Belt Rehabilitation Cen ter in Bangor, Pa., where she had been a guest since December, 1987. She previously resided at Davey Ave nue in Pen Argyl, Pa.

She was a machine operator for blouse mills in the Slate Belt, retiring in 1962. She was formerly employed by Bush & Bull in Easton, and Bangor Clothing Co.

Born Jan. 9, 1900, in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Stewart & Annie Shimer Young.

She was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Johnsonville, Pa.

Her husband, Charles Uhler, died in November 1974. A son, Russell Eichlin, died in July 1989.

She is survived by a son Edward Eichlin, of East Bangor; 4 daughters, Blanche Houck of Pen Argyl, ***** of Wilson Borough, Pa., ****** of Drakes Branch, Va., and ****** of Bangor, Pa.; 2 sisters, Esther Reagan of Belfast, Pa., and Nellie Liske of Radcliff, Ky.; 13 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 7 step-great- grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Reed Funeral Home in Johnsonville. Interment will be in Forks Church Cemetery in Stockertown, Pa.
