George Young, Area Farmer, Burn Victim
George W. Young, 68, of Easton Road, Riegelsville, died early
today at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia,
as the result of burns suffered on Nov. 11.
Mr. Young was burned when his clothing caught fire while he
was burning leaves at his home.
Mr. Young was a farmer. He retired about four years ago. Born
in Williams Township, he was a so of the late William and Anna
Mushlitz Young. He lived in Riegelsville for 32 years.
He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Riegelsville,
He served as a trustee and was a member of the church council.
Surviving are his widow, the former Leola Laubach; three sons,
William R. Milford, N.J., and Allen and Floyd E., both of Easton
R. D. 4, a daughter, Marion, wife of William Mills, Riegelsville;
four sisters, Mrs. George Beidleman, Raubsville; Mrs. Lee Bowers,
and Mrs. Charles Wilson, both of Phillipsburg, and Mrs. William
Kreil, Easton; two brothers, Earl and Wilbert, both of Easton
R. D. 4; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Robert
W. Snyder Funeral Home Riegelsville. |
