Dr. William Walter, Bethlehem Doctor, was 81 years old.
Dr. William Walter, 81, Bethlehem physician who practiced there for 57 years, died Saturday at his home, 24 East Broad street, Bethlehem. He was born at Farmersville, Bethlehem Township, Sept 23, 1865, and was a son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Barnet Walter.
He attended Trach's acedemy, Easton, and attended Lafayette College with the class of 1889. He was employed as civil engineer for the Lehigh Balley Railroad in Mauch Chucnk, In 1890 he was grduated from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelpha, and began his practice of medicine in Bethlehem in June of that year.
He is surved by a son, Robley Walter, at home, and a nephew, U.S. Rep. Francis E. Walter, of Easton, and Several nieces. |
