Wilson F Steckel
Wilson Forrest Steckel, 79, of 616 Ferry Street died today
at 7:25 a.m. in Easton Hospital after a brief illness. He was
admitted Feb. 11.
Mr. Steckel had been employed for the last eight years at
Easton Wood Products Inc. In his earlier life he was a baker.
Born in Williams Township, he was the son of the late George
and Lucinda Steckel. He was a lifelong resident of the Easton
area. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are his wife, Cecil Steckel; a daughter, Mrs. Martin
D. Marx, of Easton; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Raub and Mrs. Ira
Illick, of Easton R.D. 4, six stepchildren, Mrs. Eleanor Parian,
of Puente Calif.; Mrs. Gladys Miller, Gold Spring Hills, N.Y.;
Mrs. Gloria Drury of Natick, Mass.; Mrs. Ruth Compton, of Flemington,
and Miss Myrna Hoffer and Gerald Hoffer, both at home; five
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Co-authors Aunt Sadie remembered that they had children Bertha
and Paul. They, and son Ervin, are buried at New Williams Cemetery,
Williams Township, Northampton County, PA.
