Mrs. Katie E. Shook Nichols, of 1809 Montclair Ave., Cranston Heights, Wilmington, Del., died this morning in the Wilmington General Hospital after a long illness.
She was the wife of Walter J. Nichols.
Born in Plainfield Township, she was a daughter of the late John and Barbara Shook.
She was retired from the Ludlow Corp. of Wilmington, Del., and was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Wilmington, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Person, Nazareth,; Mrs. Eleanor Briscoe, Newark, Del.; Mrs. Gloria Jackson, Newport, Del. And Mrs. Shirley Smith, Wind Gap; two brothers, Elmer Shook, Bangor, and John, Flicksville; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Maginnis, Washington, N.J, Mrs. Arminia Stocker, Bath, and Mrs. Sarah Neigh, Stockertown, 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson. |
