Frank A. Shipe, 67, Retired CRR Engineer
FrankA. Shipe Sr., 67, of 178 Hudson St. Phillipsburg, died in Warren Hosptial
yesterday at 2 a.m. He was admited to the hospital on Jan 11.
Mr. Shipe was a retired engineer of the Central Railroad of New Jersey.
He had been employed by the railroad for 46 years and retired two years
ago. He was of the Dutch Reformed faith.
He was a charter member of Easton lodge of Moose, a member of Jacksonian
Democratic Club of Easton and Brotherhood of Engineers and Firemen
in Jersey City, N.J., and an associate member of the Alert Hook and
Ladder Co. of Phillipsburg.
He was born in Easton, son of the late Albert and Anna Glassner. His
wife, Mrs. Cora Coyle Shipe, died before him.
Survivors are two sons, Robert L. of Easton, and Frank A. Jr., of
Phillispburg; and a daughter, Mrs. Robert W. Miller, of Baltimore;
a brother Lester, of Easton, and three grandchildren.
Funeral servies will be held Wendesday at 2 p.m., at the Hagerty Funeral
Home, Phillipsburg.
