Clarence Seip, 72, Retired Driver for Railway Express
Clarence F. Seip, 72, of 82, Broad St., Phillipsburg, died
yesterday in Warren Hospital where he was a patient for three
weeks.
He was a truck driver for Railway Express, working out of
the Easton office, for 43 years, retiring in 1970. He was then
employed as a custodian at the Phillipsburg High School Athletic
field House for Six years.
Born in Easton, on May 19, 1904, he was a son of the late
Benjamin F. and Jennie Sigman Seip. He was a resident of Phillipsburg
for the last 47 years.
He and his wife, the former Mary Chanda, celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 7, 1976.
Surviving with his widow are three sons,
a brother Benjamin of Phillipsburg; eight sisters, Mrs. Florence
Montoro, Mrs. Jennie Walton, and Mrs. Evelyn Edwadinger, all
of Palmer Townshp; Mrs. Edity Morgan, and Mrs. Pearl Serfass,
both of Easton, Mrs. Catherine Trimmer, Williams Township;
Mrs. Dorothy Vail, Phillipsburg, and Mrs. Gladys Stempa, Wilson;
six grandchildren; six step-grandchldren, and ten step-great-grandchidlren.
A son, Harold Robert Sseip, died before him.
Serives will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Rupell Funeral
Home, Phillipsburg. Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery,
Phillipsburg. |
