Mrs. Thomas B. Bethman
Mrs. Evelyn M. Bethman, 74, of Line Street and Philadelphia Road, died last night in Easton Hospital where she was admitted Aug. 26.
Mrs. Bethman resided with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Bethman. He son is an announcer for Station WEST.
Born Jan. 19, 1890, in Easton, Mrs. Bethman was a daughter of the late Wilson and Isabelle Marbacher Sandt. Her husband Thomas B. Bethman, died in 1932.
She was employed in the basement dress department of Orr’s department store before retiring five years ago.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the church choir.
Survivors include another son, Carl W. Phillipsburg, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Strunk Funeral Home, Easton.
