Carl W. Bethman
Carl W. Bethman, 71, of 1203 Belvidere Road, Lopatcong Township, died Thursday in Easton Hospital.
Before retiring in 1979, he worked for the Ingersoll-Rand Co., Phillipsburg, for 30 years.
Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Thomas and Evelyn Sandt Bethman.
Mr. Bethman played baseball for several Lehigh Valley teams and with the Phillies Minor league team in 1935.
He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Reliance Hose co., and Lincoln Fire Co., all of Phillipsburg, and Citizens Hose and Order of Fleas, both of Easton.
Surviving are his wife, the former Pear Warner, three sons, *****, Denver, Colo., *****, Coopersburg, and ******, Phillipsburg; a daughter, *******, Little Rock, Ark, a brother Eugene of Easton, and seven grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Church. Interment wil be in Fairmount cemetery, Phillipsburg. The Finegan funeral Home, Phillipsburg is in charge of arrangements. |
