Helen C. Heffelfinger Slahta, 79, of 3005 East Blvd., Bethlehem,
died Saturday in her home. She was the wife of the late Andrew
Slahta and Richard J. Heffelfinger.
Born in Phillipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Anderson
C. and Catherine (Piatt) Raub.
She was a member of St. Stephen's Evangelical Lutheran Church,
Bethlehem.
Survivors: Sons, **** of Easton and ***** of Northampton;
daughters, ***** of Bethlehem and *****, wife of
William Tucker, with whom she resided; brother, John and sister,
Verna Pfenning, both of Palmer Township; 23 grandchildren and
25 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by son, Richard
J. Jr.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad
St., Bethlehem. Call 7-9 p.m. Monday.
