Frank Pfeffer, Sr. Ex-LVRR Machinist
Frank W. Pfeffer, sr., 67, of 148 Milton St., Easton, died at 7:35 p.m. yesterday at Easton Hospital, where he had been a surgical patient since June 1924.
Retired since 1947, he has been a machinist for the Lehigh Valley Railroad for 28 years. He worked for shorter times before that for Ingersoll-Rand Co. and afterward for Easton Car & Construction Co. He was a catcher for the old Pioneer A.A. baseball team from 1905 to 1908. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, the knights of St. George and the Loyal Order of Moose.
Mr. Pfeffer was born in Easton Sept 16, 1886, a son of the late John Pfeffer and Missouri Young Pfeffer. He lived in Easton all his life.
He is survived by his mother, who lives in Easton R.D3; these children; Mrs. Francis Edwadinger, Philadelphia; *****, Riegelsville, pa., and ***** and Frank W. Pfeffer Jr., both of Easton; these sisters and brothers; Mrs. Martin Kline, Easton R.D2; Mrs. Harvey Brightbill, Wilson; Casper, Easton R.D2;l William, Forks Township, and Paul, EastonR.D.3, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Bechtel Funeral Home, at 9 a.m. Friday. There will be mass at St. Joseph’s church. |
