Casper Pfeffer, 85, of 4 E. 4th St., Bethlehem, died Wednesday in St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of Elsie (Pum) Pfeffer. They observed their 61st wedding anniversary this month.

Pfeffer was a knitter at the former Chipman Knitting Mills, West Easton, for 40 years before retiring in 1967.

Born in South Easton, he was a son of the late John and Missouri (Young) Pfeffer.

He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Farmersville.

Surviving with his widow are a son **** of Bethlehem; three daughters, ****, wife of ***** of Miller Heights, *****, wife of ***** of Hellertown, and *****, wife of ***** of Cleveland, Ohio; a brother Paul of Easton; a sister, Mrs. Grace Kline of Palmer Township, and nine grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem. A calling hour will precede the services.
