Edmund R. Otto, 58, of Newlin Mills Road, Easton, died Sunday
in The Cottage, Nazareth.
He worked at the Metropolitan-Edison generating plant, Portland,
for 31 years before retiring in June.
Born in Easton, he was a son of the late William James Sr.
and Grace (Nixon) Otto.
He was the Forks Township fire chief, 1970-72, and president
of the Forks Lions Club, 1970-71.
He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Forks Township.
He was an Army veteran.
He was a member of the Brothers in Harmony of Wind Gap,
a barbershop singing group, and the Bangor Yellow Jackets
Drum and Bugle Corps in the 1950s.
Survivors: Daughter, Lori, wife of Mark Simms, and a brother,
W. James Jr., both of Forks Township; sisters, Jean Lacey
of Easton, and Rita, wife of Ralph Worrich of Wilson, and
a granddaughter. A son Eric died in 1986.
Services: 2 p.m. Thursday in the church. Call 7-8:30 p.m.
Wednesday, James J. Palmeri Funeral Home, Route 611 and Alpha
Avenue, Martins Creek, and 1-2 p.m. Thursday in the church. |
