Roy W. Nixon, 82, Lumber Co. Clerk
Roy W. Nixon, 82, died this morning at his home, Liberty
Road, Stewartsville. He had been ill several years.
He was employed as a salesman for the Hagerty Lumber Co.,
Phillipsburg, of r45 years, retiring in 1968.
Born May 28, 1894, in Phillipsburg, he was a son of the
late Frank and Ella Strunk Nixon. He lived in Stewartsville
the last 25 years, perviously residing in Phillipsburg.
A veteran of World War I, he was amember of Barracks No.
41, Veterans of World War I, Washington, and a 50-year member
of Delaware Lodge 52, F&AM, Phillipsburg.
He and his wife, the former Elsie Entress, celebrated their
51 St. wedding anniversary in August.
His widow is his only survivor.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Rupell funeral
Home, Phillipsburg. Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery,
Phillipsburg, Delaware Lodge 52 F&AM, will hold services
at 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. |
