Charles E. Marsh, 56, Former L&NE Fireman
Charles E. Marsh, 56, of 302 N. 4th St., Bangor, a retired employee of the Lehigh & New England Railroad, died yesterday morning in Easton Hospital.
Born in Pen Argyl, he was a son of the late Edward and Harriet Towzzer Marsh. He was employed by the railroad as a fireman. He retired last December because of ill health.
Mr. Marsh was of the Lutheran faith. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen of the railroad, and the Sons of Union Veteran, Bangor.
Surviving are his widow, the former Emma Lewis; three daughters, Mrs. John Zeigafuse, of Pen Argyl R. D. 1; Mrs. Russell Zeigafus, of Portland and Mrs. Orlando Modolo of Wind Gap; three sons, Charles, at home, James of Easton, and Clifford, serving with the U. S. Air Force at Portsmouth, N.H., two sisters, Mrs. Charles Mickes, of Nazareth, and Mrs. Sidney Stroudt, of Wind Gap; three brothers, Elmer, of Pen Argyl; Alfred, of Pen Argyl R. D. 1, and Clifford F., of Bangor, and 12 grandchildren.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Pullis Funeral Home, Pen Argyl |
