Queen M. Straut
Queen M. Straut, 79, of 328 E. third St., Wind Gap, died this morning in St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain hill, where she was admitted Dec. 4.
Born in Pen Argyl on Sept 22, 1903, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Harriet Tozer Marsh.
Mrs. Straut was a member of Hope United Church of Christ, Wind Gap; the PO of A Lodge and Slate Velley Lodge.
Her husband, Sidney F. Straut, died Feb. 3, 1970.
Among her survivors are two sons, George L. Nolf, Wind Gap. And Master Sgt. Sidney G. Straut, with the Marine Corps in Tustin, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. William W. Pfeifle, Bethlehem; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Hope UCC. Interment will be in Wind Gap Cemetery, Plainfield Township. Arrangements are under the direction of the Altemose Funeral Home, Inc., Wind Gap. |
