Earl D. Mack, 49, was Truck Driver
Earl D. (Peter) Mack, 49, former tractor-trailer driver died
yesterday at his home on West 2nd street, Wind Gap. He had
been ill since Sept 11, 1950, when he was stricken with a cerebral
hemorrhage.
Mr. Mack had been employed by the Lobb Trucking Co., Pen Argyl,
in former years, and before his illness, worked for the Bethlehem
Steel Co., as a tractor-trailer operator.
Born in Washington Township, Northampton County, he was a
son of Harvey and Bertha Kichline Mack, of Nazareth R.D.3.
He formerly was a member of Faith Evangelical and Reformed
Church, Pen Argyl. He was a member of the Wind Gap, Belfast
and Petersville Rod and Gun clubs, and was a social member
of the Wind Gap and pen Argyl American Legion posts.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his widow, the
former Ethel M. Weidman; three sons, Lynwood of Greenawalds,
near Allentown, and Elwood and David, both at home, four daughters,
Mrs. George Hinton, of Wind Gap; Mrs. Raymond Kern, of Nazareth
R. D.3, Leona and Alice, both at home; two brothers, Ernest
and *****, both of Nazareth R. D.2; six sisters, Mrs. Clarence
Matthews, of Hatboro; Mrs. Edwin Seyfried, of Philadelphia,
Mrs. John Young, of Wind Gap; ***** and *****, both of Nazareth
R. D. 3, and Mrs. Elwood Kessler, of Easton R. D, 1, and six
grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Schmidt
Home, Wind Gap, the Rev. A. S. Leiby, pastor of Faith Evangelical
and Reformed Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Wind
Gap Cemetery. |
