Pritchard, Elda Kessler
Elda Kessler Pritchard, 84, formerly of Plainfield Township,
NJ, died Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at Gracedale, Northampton
County Home, Upper Nazareth Township, Pa.
Born: On September
3, 1923 in Tatamy, Pa, she was a daughter of the late Harvey
and Bertha E. Kichline Mack.
Personal: Her first husband,
Elwood S. Kessler, died in 1965. Her husband, Raymond Pritchard,
died in 1993. Elda was employed as a sewing machine operator
at the former Roseto Sportswear in Belfast, Pa, until retiring
in 1983. She also enjoyed cooking and baking and was an
avid bingo player.
Memberships: Elda was a member of Hope Lutheran
Church, Tatamy, Pa. She was a member of UNITE, the garment
workers union, and a member of the Plainfield Volunteer
Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors: She is survived
by five daughters, two sisters, a brother, 12 grandchildren,
and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services: Will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the church,
240 S. 8th Street, Tatamy, Pa. Call on Monday from 10 to
11 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in Forks Township Cemetery,
Forks Township, Pa. Arrangements have been entrusted
to the James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, Pen Argyl, Pa. Memorials:
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be
made to the church, P.O. Box 237, Tatamy, PA 18085-0237.
