Ada M. Dunbar
Ada M. Dunbar, 83, of Bangor, died Wednesday, June 30, 2004,
in Easton Hospital.
Born: July 3, 1920, in Flicksville,
Pa., a daughter of the late J. Herbert and Lizzie Kautz
Mack.
Personal: Her husband, Paul Dunbar, died in 1994.
She was a rural mail carrier for the US Postal Service,
in Bangor, for 22 years, until retiring in 1986. She was
a graduate of Bangor High school.
Memberships: She was
a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Mt. Bethel,
Pa., where she was a member of the Women's Guild and
the Adult Sunday School Class. She also was a member of the
Stone Church Senior Citizens Group, the National Rural
Letter Carriers Association, the National Association
of Retired Federal Employees, and a member of the Blue Mountain
Gas and Steam Engine Association.
Survivors: two sons,
Barry Dunbar, and *****, both of Bangor; one sister,
Pearl Menhennitt, of Riverside, Cali.; one brother, Richard
Mack, of Bethlehem, Pa.; five grandchildren; and nine
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers,
Earl and Raymond Mack; and one sister, Emma Seibert.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday,
in the Reed/Gaffney Funeral Home, Inc., 4 Lillian Lane,
Village of Johnsonville, Bangor, PA. Call 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Reformed
Cemetery, Upper Mt. Bethel Township, PA. |
