Mrs. Van Selan Walter
Mrs. Sallie Ann Walter, wife of Van Salen Walter, of 725 Cattell Street, College Hill, died at 6:30 Tuesday evening of heart trouble after an illness of a few days. She was 76 years of age.
Mrs. Walter was born it Sandt’s Eddy, North Delaware River Road and was a daughter of the late Martin and Mary A. Laros, Nearly all her life was spent in Easton and she was held in high esteem by many friends.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Rev. Dr. Clinton E. welter, Pastor of St. Paul’s English Lutheran church, York, Pa., and one daughter, Mrs. Mary Pearson, wife of Rev. Philip Pearson, of Newport News, Va., and by two granddaughters, Misses Fayette and Mary Walter, Daughters of the late Stewart E. Walter, a son of deceased. Two brothers, Alvin Laros, of 410 Porter Street, College Hill and Clinton Laros, of Detroit, Michigan, also survive.
Mrs. Walter was a charter member of St. Peter’s Lutheran church, College Hill and active in the church work and Missionary Societies. |
