Stewart Edward Walter
Stewart Edward Walter, who resided at 726 Porter Street, College Hill, died at 8:30 this morning at the Sandt’s Eddy Hotel, where he had been staying for the benefit of his health. He was 46 years of age. Deceased has been ill for a year and a half. Mr. Walter is survived by his wife, two daughters, Miss Fayetta and Marie Walter, residing at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. VanSelan Walter, of Easton, and one brother and one sister, Rev. Clinton E. Walter, D.D., of York and Mrs. P. H. Pearson, of Collingswood, N.J.
Mr. Walter was a native of Easton and followed the occupation of a carpenter. For a time he was in the employ of Steinmetz & Walter, but later was in business himself. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Lehicton Lodge, No. 244, I. O.O. F; Grant Conclave, Improved Order of Heptaophs, and the Carpenters’’ and Joiners’ union. |
