Mrs. Mary Purdy
Mrs. Mary Purdy, widow of the late Harry W. Purdy, of 127 South
Fourteenth street, died this morning at 9 o’clock at
her home after a five months’ illness of a complication
of ailments. She was 54 years of age. Mrs. Purdy was born in
Hecktown, a daughter of Mrs. William and the late William Kemmerer.
Her mother is still alive and only yesterday quietly celebrated
here ninety-first birthday anniversary. Mrs. Purdy’s
husband died about three months ago. She leaves four children,
Mrs. Wallace Hartzell, of Allentown, and Florence, Harry and
John, all at home. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs.
Fred Vollmer and Mrs. Joseph Laub, and three brothers, Wilson,
peter and Van Kemmerer, all of Easton. |
