Mrs. Abraham A. Laubach
Mrs. Emma H. Laubach, wife of Abraham A. Laubach, died at 12:45 Sunday
morning at her home, No. 1805 Ferry Street, Wilson Borough, of a complication
of ailments, aged 73 years. She had been in poor health for several
years.
Mrs. Laubach is survived by her husband and three sons, Rev. Edwin
H. Laubach, of Scottdale, PA; Charles Milton Laubach and George B.
Laubach, of Easton. She also leaves two brothers and one sister: Charles
Hartzell and Frank Hartzell, of Philadelphia, and Mrs. Milton Melchor,
Easton, R.F.D. and three grandchildren.
James Laubach, son of Rev. and Mrs. Edwin H. Laubach and a grandson
of deceased, was drowned last June in China, where he was a missionary
serving under the Foreign Mission Board of the Reformed Church. His
untimely death greatly affected Mrs. Laubach's health at that time
for he was a favorite grandchild and she was deeply interested in his
career as a missionary and also in missionary work.
Mrs. Laubach was born in Williams township and was a daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Hartzell. She had resided here for the past
30 years and was highly respected by a wide circle of friends. Deceased
was a faithful member of St. mark's Reformed Church and an active member
of the Woman's Missionary Society of that church. |
