Mrs. Sophia Hartzell
Mrs. Sophia Hartzell, widow of the late Jacob Hartzell, died at the
home of her son, Newton P. Hartzell, No. 31 Nesquehoning street, South
Side, on Wednesday, aged seventy six years. She is survived by three
sons and three daughters: Mrs. Abraham Laubach, Miss Jennie Hartzell,
and Newton P. Hartzell, of this city; Mrs. Milton Melchor, of Williams
township; Frank J. Hartzell, and Charles E. Hartzell, of Philadelphia;
also the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Charles Godley, Mrs.
David Kline, and Thomas Brotzman, of this city; Mrs. Louise Hartzell,
of Williams township, and John Brotzman, of Nazareth. The deceased
was a member of St. John's Reformed Church, Williams Township. The
funeral will be held next Sunday at 1 p.m. at the house. Services and
interment at St. John's church, Williams township.
