Orville Hineline, 77, Ex-LVRR Machinist
Orville W. Hineline, 77, of 2445 Freemansburg Ave., died this morning
in Eastwood Convalescent Home, Easton. He was in poor health the last
years.
Mr. Hineline retired in 1959 after 45 years with the Lehigh Valley
Railroad as a machinist and a foreman.
Born in Williams Township, he was a son of the late Thomas and Mary
Steckel Hineline and husband of the late Lilly Bowers Hineline. He
lived in the Easton Area his entire life.
He was a member of Calvary Memorial Methodist Church, Easton, the
men's Bible class of the church; the Northampton County Historical
and Genealogical Society, the Lenni Lenape Society of the Lehigh Valley
and the International Order of Odd Fellows.
Mr. Hineline had been active in Boy scouting for more than 40 years.
He served as institutional representative for scouting units at the
church most recently.
Surviving are a son, three daughters, two brothers, Burton G, Easton
and Ira R, Phillipsburg; three sisters, Mrs. Irenaeus Raub, Easton;
Mrs. Ethel Helms, Hellertown and Mrs. Loris Dutt, Woodbridge Conn;
12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday from the Ashton Funeral
Home, Easton. |
