Ira R Hineline, 75, Operated meat Company for 30 Years
Ira R Hineline, 75, of 214 March Blvd., Shimer Manor, the president
of Hineline Meat Plant Inc., Route 519, died last night at the Allentown
and Sacred Heart Hospital Center.
He had driven a meat truck for Flagler's Meats in Rieglesville before
establishing his own meat business. He served the Easton-Phillipsburg
area for 30 years, building the Hineline Meat Plant on Route 519 in
1947.
Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Thomas and Mary Steckel Hineline.
He graduated from Easton High School in 1921 and attended Muhlenberg
College for two years.
He was a member of the Fellowship Church, Morris Park, Phillipsburg;
Bloomsbury Lodge 140, F&AM; Tall Cedars of Lebanon and the Pomfret
Club, Easton.
Surviving are is wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Davis Hineline; two sons; Edward
T. of Shimer Manor, and Robert A. of White Township; two sisters, Mrs.
Mary Dutt of Connecticut, and Mrs. Ethel Helms of Hellertown; and six
grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Finegan Funeral Home,
Phillipsburg. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.
