Wilson S. Heavener
Wilson S. "Snapper" Heavener, 69, of 934 Berwick St., Easton,
died Wednesday in Easton Hospital.
He retired in 1977 as a store's attendant in the Turbo Division of
Ingersoll-Rand Co., Phillipsburg, where he was employed for over 25
years.
Born Oct. 14, 1912, in Easton, he was a son of the late Wilson and
Emma Hineline Heavener.
Mr. Heavener was a member of Order of Fleas, Citizens Hose Co., Franklin
Hose Co., Liberty Hose Co., Pioneer Athletic Association, and Loyal
Order of Moose, Columbia Hose Co., Weston Club, and Easton Fish and
Game Association, all of Easton; West Easton Athletic Association,
Lower Mount Bethel Democratic Association; Lower Mount Bethel Rod and
Gun Club; Italian-American Club, Phillipsburg; Williams Township Sportsmen's
Association; Raubsville Sportsmen Association; Point Phillips Rod and
Gun Club; Petersville Rod and Gun Club; Pennsylvania Trapper's Association
and National Rifle Association. He also served in the U.S. Navy during
World War II.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Hazel Correll, Easton, and three brothers,
Melvin N. of Forks Township, Carl J. of Vero Beach, Fla. and *****
of Slidell, La. |
