MELVIN N. HEAVENER
The Morning Call, Feb 6, 1986. pg. B.08 Melvin N. Heavener, 71, of 2049 Arndt Road, Forks Township, died Tuesday
in the Leader Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Palmer Township. He
was the husband of Doris (Milburn) Heavener. They observed their 49th
wedding anniversary last April.
Heavener was manager of Bushkill Park, where he was employed for more
than 55 years, and worked for the former Adleman's Service Station,
Easton.
Born in Williams Township, he was a son of the late Wilson and Emma
(Hineline) Heavener.
He was past commander of the U.S. Power Squadron, and a member of
the International Association of Amusement Parks and the Pennsylvania
Amusement Park Association.
Surviving with his widow are a daughter and a
son both of Palmer Township; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Correll of
Easton; two brothers, Carl J. of Vero Beach, Fla., and *****. of
Slidell, La., and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Strunk Funeral Home, 2101
Northampton St., Easton. A calling hour will precede the services. |
