William H. Hackman
William Henry Hackman, former alderman of the Twelfth ward
and a life long resident of this city, died at 7 o'clock
this morning at his home, 94 Glendon Avenue, of paralysis,
aged 54 years. He was ill several weeks ago, but had entirely
recovered and was able to be about. His death, therefore,
was sudden and entirely unexpected.
Deceased is survived by his wife, five Daughters and one
Son. Mrs. Washinton Cross, of Easton; Mrs. George Fisher,
of Phillipsburg, and Mildred, Rose, Dorothy and William Hackman,
Jr., at home. He is also survived by his age mother Mrs.
Elizabeth Hackman; of Easton, and four sisters and two brothers
- Mrs. E.B. Zeller, of Phillipsburg, and Mrs. William Wolfe,
Mrs. Philip Buckland, Mrs. George Young, Hiram C. Hackman
and Warren K. Hackman, all of Easton.
He was a member of Bethany United Evangelical Church. For
the past seventeen years he was tender of the upper Lehigh
suspension bridge.
