Mrs. Daisy Young, 93, Ex-Teacher in Area
Mrs. Daisy I. Young, 93, formerly of 17 S. 14th St. a retried
teacher, died this morning at the Caum Memorial Home, Reading,
where she was a guest since 1968.
Born in Easton on Jan. 13, 1878, she was a daughter of the
late Hiram and Elizabeth Charlotte Wilhelm Hackman.
Mrs. Young taught in the Easton and Wilson School districts.
Her husband, George W. young, died in November 1962.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Chruch, Easton; Malta
Sisterhood 272, Dames of Malta, Easton; Past Protectors Club
of the Dames of Malta, Mountain Laurel Past Protectors Club
and the Golden Age Club, Easton.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ashton
Funeral Home, Easton. Interment will be in Easton Heights
Cemetery.
